PT FWD Insurance Indonesia (“FWD Insurance”) has successfully launched InnovateHer Academy programme; an empowerment programme for 10 female start-up founders in technology and digital fields to create solutions that bring a positive impact to Indonesia.
The programme was built through partnership with KUMPUL.ID and was officially launched by the signing of memorandum of understanding (MoU) on August 30 2023 by FWD Insurance Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection of Indonesia (KemenPPPA) and supported by UN Women, the United Nations organization dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women.
Through this InnovateHer Academy programme, FWD Insurance provides masterclasses and mentoring sessions on practical and technical knowledge in developing sustainable and measurable products efficiently, which has successfully launched products and built profitable business strategies together with 20 experts and mentors.

Through the InnovateHer Academy program, we encourage more and more women founders to hone their skills in managing a business, create employment opportunities and have a gender perspective. This is expected to make a positive contribution to the progress of the Indonesian nation."
There’s a total of 87 startups from Jakarta, Tangerang, Depok, Bogor, Malang, Surabaya, Medan and Balikpapan registered for the InnovateHer Academy program. The three top participating categories are in Education, Food and Beverages and Health category. Here is the list of ten selected female start-up company founders: Revolusi Belajar, DynamicBuzz.id, Salonkita.id, Jobhun, Foodtrition.id, Iotakids, Secha, Gradient, Psikku, dan Meraki Asa.
Dayang Melati, CEO and Founder of Dynamicbuzz.id shared her experience, “Through the training session provided by FWD Insurance, what was interesting for participants was input from experts who opened up the insights and connections of women founders to develop their businesses from the fields of finance, marketing, to human capital.”
