FWD Insurance held Hackathon SpringboardX Student Challenge 2023 to foster innovation from the young generation for Indonesian insurance industry

PT FWD Insurance Indonesia (“FWD Insurance”) held the 2023 Hackathon SpringboardX Student Challenge Hackathon for students and graduates to encourage innovations and foster ideas for changing the way people feel about insurance.

The Hackathon SpringboardX Student Challenge is part of the annual innovation competition by FWD Group, held from 23 September – 23 October 2023, calling for university students (bachelor and master degrees) and alumni (with maximum of one year after university graduation). Participants will form teams of 2-5 members and provide their ideas in response to the challenge statement: “How might we reimagine the insurance experience to meet the needs of the next generation of customers?”.

Rudy Franto Manik as Chief Marketing & Human Resources Officer FWD Insurance said, “Through the Hackathon SpringboardX Student Challenge, we aim to foster innovations and ideas from students in terms of reimagining the insurance experience. This year, as part of our 10-year celebrations of FWD Group, each participant will stand a chance to attend the workshop, mentoring session, and win prizes at local and regional levels. We appreciate receiving ideas with potential to improve insurance literacy of the society.”

Participants will take part in a one-day hackathon session with experts in the digital and innovation fields, from external and internal, as well as mentoring with leaders from FWD Insurance. The 5 (five) selected team will proceed to the final phase and present their ideas to the jury. At the judging stage, the jury consisting of FWD Insurance's executives will select the best ideas from the participants and choose 3 best winners and 2 runner ups.

This event is free of charge. Participants will stand a chance to win prizes worth a total of tens of millions of Rupiah in local level, prizes worth a total of USD3,500 in the regional level by FWD Group, and internship opportunities at FWD Insurance.
