FWD Insurance promotes financial inclusion in Indonesia throughout year 2023

PT FWD Insurance Indonesia (“FWD Insurance”) has expanded its network and opened 22 marketing offices throughout 2023 in several regions in Indonesia, namely Java, Sumatra, Bali, Kalimantan and Sulawesi Island. This expansion aligns with the National Strategy for Inclusive Financial Literacy (SNLKI) launched by the Indonesian government.

Followed the expansion, FWD Insurance sales force has now reached more than 10,000 (ten thousand) insurance agents, and FWD Insurance also achieved top four position in the life insurance industry by new business sales, according to data from the Indonesian Life Insurance Association (AAJI) in Q3 /2023.

To support the sales force, FWD Insurance provides digital technology, namely the FWD SMART application, which enables analyses of customers' financial needs anytime and anywhere. It also allows customers to easily check the status of their insurance applications even before premium payment is made through the UnderwriteMe feature. Another support is called IRIS application, a digital personal assistant that helps agents to monitor performance, sales management and recruitment processes.

In addition to the opening of these independent marketing offices, FWD Insurance also introduces various products and services that meet customer needs, including the FWD Care Recovery Plan which offers post-claims support by professional personnel for physical and emotional recovery ranging from mental health counseling to home care nurses, this can be utilised by the insured and their closest family members at no cost.

FWD Insurance also offers critical illness insurance products such as FWD Critical Armor. This endowment product provides comprehensive protection from minor to major critical illness risks, with benefits of up to 420% of the sum insured. In addition, this product is also provided with death benefit, waiver of premium benefit if diagnosed with major illness for the first time, and maturity benefit with return of premium paid.
